Our Company Story

In the early 1980's I was a marketing student at Northeastern University. As you may be aware Northeastern has a co-op program which blends classroom study with real job experience. The only problem was that in early 1984 there were very few co-op jobs to be had so I decided to get my real estate license and in essence create my own co-op job. After working for a couple of different real estate companies over the next 6 years I enjoyed the freedom real estate gave me and I was very fortunate to meet some extraordinary real estate agents in our area here, and from around the country who really gave me the inspiration I needed, to not only make me more successful as an agent, but to give me the knowledge and foundation required to start my own real estate company.

The truth being told, there are very few very profitable real estate companies, most are in a constant struggle to retain and keep good agents. The agents themselves were struggling with the split arrangements with their brokers, and the brokers were struggling to pay their overhead. It was a lose lose situation for everyone, and when the agents aren't making any money and the brokers aren't making any money, the public suffers in the process. I knew that if I were to start my own company I had to think of a better way that would be more profitable for both the agent and the broker and in turn the public would get a better agent and better real estate company in return!

In July 1990 I opened SUCCESS! by myself and one very brave secretary who didn't mind working for one agent. We were off and running in our tiny 600 s.f. office space on Quincy Avenue in Braintree. The first order of business was to recruit other agents, which with a little luck, and a winning compensation plan began to work. Agents were coming to SUCCESS! and they weren't leaving! As we grew, we grew out of our space and have since moved to 285 Washington Street  where our central call center is today. During the mid 1990's my goal was to keep expanding the company, which we did by offering our now very successful 90% compensation program. Agents could now keep more of what they make so they could now spend more on their listings and promotional activities. Things were working, the company was making more money and the agents were becoming more successful and then along came the internet in a big way.

Technology was changing the way real estate was conducted and I threw everything we had into making us the most technologically advanced firm in the area. From our state of the art computer systems, to our voice mail, to our web site where customers can now get addresses, photos, full property details, even a map of any property available in MLS.

Today in 2007 we continue to grow with no end in sight! With over 200 agents and climbing our vision for the future remains unchanged. To provide the finest atmosphere for our agents, and to provide the very best service for all our customers and clients. With thousands of homes sold over the past 14 years, a new mortgage company and branch locations in Marshfield, Brockton and Milton believe me were just getting started!

I have always been intrigued at how companies began. I'm very proud of our company and on behalf of all our agents all over the state I take great pride in our service and truly believe that "No one will work harder for your SUCCESS!
